First, I want to thank everyone for the wedding anniversary wishes. I've marked the date in my diary so I 'shouldn't' forget it next year. Watch this space!
Last night, we went to see funny man Peter Kay in Manchester. It was the Tour that Doesn't Tour Farewell Tour and if you get the chance, I recommend you go and see him. (If you don't get chance, the DVD will be available in November.) The man is a genius. He talks about Sky+ and I cry with laughter. That's genius.
I appear to be on Google+ now. I'm not quite sure how that happened. Someone sent me an invite and, not having a clue what I was supposed to do, I think I clicked the Accept button. Is Google+ the new Facebook? What's it all about anyway? I have no idea. However, if you'd like to add me to your circles (whatever that means), you should be able to find me here. If you'd like an invite (not really sure what means either), let me know. So who's on Google+? Do you like it? More to the point, do you understand it?
While we're on the subject of technology (aka stuff I don't have a clue about), I'd like to thank everyone who requested a Kindlegraph from me. I've had great fun signing the book covers. To answer a few questions that have been raised: 1/ No, you don't have to own a Kindle to request an author's signature, 2/ No, you don't need to have bought the book and 3/ Yes, you do need a Twitter account to sign in to Kindlegraph. Thank you, everyone. You've made me feel like a rock star!
I also need to tell you that Carina Press are having a sale this weekend. You can get 40% off all ebook titles simply by quoting code NYCOMICCON at the checkout. Lots of good books there and it's a good chance to take a risk on a new author or genre. Carina Press publishes a great variety of book as you can see from this screenshot:
So the weekend cometh. Tomorrow morning, I shall be working on copy edits for Silent Witness, my March release. This is the last time I see the book before it becomes, um, a book, so I want to give it a thorough read. Tomorrow afternoon I shall be at Turf Moor cheering on the mighty Clarets as they take on Reading. On Sunday, I shall be back at my desk and will, hopefully, get round all your blogs. Oh, and I shall also be getting my very late newsletter ready to send out. What about you? What will you be doing this weekend?
Have fun!
