Phew, that fortnight rattled by at a pace. I did get my trip to the beach which was great fun, especially when Dylan the Puppy chased after Tilly the Champion Swimmer and found himself in the biggest puddle ever, aka the sea. He emerged, looking very bedraggled and sorry for himself, and refused to put another paw in the water all day. Did he get sympathy? Not really, no. We were too busy laughing.
I also had a trip to the A&E Department at Fairfield Hospital, Bury. (The staff are wonderful if you ever find yourself in need of a visit.) It was nothing to panic about, but I was miffed to miss the football. Still, I've heard reports of the game and I gather all fans would have willingly had a trip to A&E rather than endure the pain of witnessing what was a really bad game.
I also had some good news. One piece of news is writerly and I'll be sharing that with you as soon as everything is signed and sealed. The other piece of news was that my lovely niece gave birth to a gorgeous baby boy and made me a great-aunt. Aw, bless. Welcome to the world, Ben James!
So yes, I'm back at my desk and raring to go. I'll be a while catching up on emails and then I'll be working on the next Dylan Scott story, Deadly Shadows. Meanwhile, I'm looking for book reviewers who might want to read my November release Dying Art and post a review (good or bad) on Amazon, Goodreads, blogs, etc. Please email me if you're interested.
What's been happening in your life? What have I missed? Anything exciting?
I see from my calendar that it's Respect for the Aged Day in Japan. Isn't that wonderful? I think it's also the Jewish New Year. Are you celebrating anything today? If so, have a good one!
